A few more shots from my maternity session...

My first maternity shoot....

I love maternity photography! I was so amazed by what you can accomplish!

I've always loved exploring the human form, and the time during a woman's pregnancy is one of the most amazing things to photograph. The changes that happen to a woman's body are just incredible - and that "glow" you always hear about is a very real thing!

I don't have any children yet, and I never dreamed I would want my picture taken during that time - but now I understand it! It truly is one of the most beautiful times in a woman's life - and it needs to be documented and captured in the most creative and artistic way...

I can't wait until my next "belly" shoot!

Snow Day!

But its not the good kind of snow-day - its Sunday, and I had to postpone two engagement sessions due to the 12 inches of snow that dumped over the Northeast! Not happy!

I was really considering heading out, but my husband brought me to my senses - "Honey, you have an SUV, not a tank!" Its a shame, I was really looking forward to shooting a nice little snowball fight!

So, this gave me a day to work on my website (which was in desperate need of revision!). I'm about half done, but the most important things like updated links and integrating my new logo are finished. Also, couples will now be able to link directly to their images through my website - you can check it out at: www.LauraEaton.com/proofing.htm

Since I'm snowed in I guess I have no excuse but to keeping plugging away at the site! Feel free to post comments about my site - I love feedback!

Well, wedding season is about to get underway! I've had some quiet time recently (well, in terms of my business - not my personal life!), but I am really looking forward to the jobs I have coming up...

I just got to do an engagement session in Philly with an awesome couple named Kim and Chris. I love it when couples really let loose and have some fun - and it really shows in the images!

Here is just one from that shoot...
Philly is such a great place to shoot, I only wish I had more opportunities to work in the city!

If you are looking for a great location for an engagement session, definitely check out Rittenhouse Square and Love Park (my personal favorites!).

I honestly think that engagement sessions are the greatest thing - you get a chance to know the couple, how they interact, what their comfort level is, but more importantly, they get to know you! So many couples I've shot tell me how much they love these sessions - it really puts their mind at ease that I'm not a "pushy photographer" and they get to see how much I truly love my job! If its at all possible, I try to do an engagement session whenever I meet a client for the first time - it makes all the difference!
